Crystal Caters to Kids with Free Fares in Europe!

Crystal Cruises isn’t shy about doling out incentives and families looking for a high-end cruise experience in Europe this summer will be pleased with a recently announced promotion. Crystal invites kids 17 and under to cruise for free on these two Crystal Symphony Europe cruises this summer, when sailing in a third berth with two full-fare adults (families of four with two children would have to book two cabins – the ship has 10 connecting staterooms and 89 staterooms with a third berth).

-The June 14, “Ballads of Britain” cruise round-trip from London includes calls at London, England; Guernsey/St. Peter Port, Channel Islands; Waterford, Dublin and Belfast, Ireland; and Liverpool, England.

-The August 7, “Russian Inspiration” voyage from Copenhagen to Stockholm visits Copenhagen, Denmark; Tallinn, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia (two nights); and Stockholm, Sweden.

Two-for-one cruise fares start at $4,210 for the British Isles cruise, and $4,375 for the Baltic itinerary, per person, double occupancy, and include $1,000 per couple “As You Wish” shipboard credits, complimentary air transportation, and business-class air for penthouse guests. (Certain restrictions apply and the credits and air transportation apply only to full-fare bookings.)

To keep kids happily busy, Junior Activities Directors will be on board to oversee dozens of organized activities from arts and crafts and story time for little ones to disco-themed pool parties for older kids and teenagers. The ship has a colorful toy-stocked playroom with Sony PlayStation® and Xbox 360TM kiosks as well as a separate adjacent teen center with a video arcade. As with all summer and holiday cruises, Crystal’s Northern European summer voyages also feature destination-related enrichment for junior cruisers, like “dress-up” photo sessions in traditional Russian costumes, or scavenger hunts promoting fun facts about Stockholm.

Family groups with six full-fare bookings can avail of Crystal’s “Family Memories” program which dishes out a $500 credit toward a Crystal Private Adventure on shore in addition to the kids under 17 sailing free in the third berth. For 10 full-fare bookings, get these perks plus one free berth for the group.

“We continue to see a growing number of multigenerational families and groups traveling together, particularly in the summer months in Europe,” says Bill Smith, senior vice president, sales and marketing. “Combined with our collection of 2010 promotions, this offer makes an already tremendous value even sweeter for families.”
